Founded in 1945 by brothers, S. Russell, Sr. and Loris J. Buccola, Crown City Table Company manufactured and distributed residential tables to retail stores. As the product line expanded over the years, the firm changed its name to Crown City Furniture Company, and later founded Buccola Imports and acquired Jamestown West Upholstery. To consolidate its identity as a primary source of residential and commercial furnishings in the Western United States, the firm combined its operations at one location in the City of Industry, and adopted the parent name, Buccola Manufacturing, Inc. Individual product lines and operation divisions have retained their original names as subsidiaries.
Buccola Manufacturing built and has sustained a reputation for quality products, responsiveness and service to customers and integrity in business practices. While progressively merchandising its production facilities to enhance efficiency, Buccola Manufacturing has retained a large measure of hand craftsmanship to ensure continued superior quality and unique design.
An outstanding characteristic of Buccola Manufacturing is its flexibility to adapt itself, both to customer needs, and to the changing commercial climate. Buccola has been willing to customize orders which were rejected by others, and has repeatedly survived economic crises which have destroyed others. This history attests to the internal strength and ability of the company as a family enterprise, as it was founded. The Buccola family manages all aspects of the business: Buccola Manufacturing Sales, Marketing, Design, Distribution, and Administration.
Buccola Manufacturing offers a complete line of home furnishings. American home products typically include living room tables, chairs, sofas and sectionals; dining room tables and chairs, china cabinets and consoles; family room tables, chairs, sofas, and entertainment units; and bedroom headboards, chests, nightstands and armoires.
Buccola Manufacturing is uniquely able to satisfy commercial clients’ needs. Not only will Buccola modify its furniture products for commercial use, it will undertake clients’ proprietary designs.
In addition, Buccola has made furnishings for hospitals, convalescent homes, university lounges, offices and dormitories.
